Brand Story: John Klein

OSMEN’s attention to detail is present in all aspects of our business. Our exclusive designer cushions feature designs by Australian artist John Klein which are inspired by his many passions including gardening and antique collecting. 

John believes that art should be incorporated into the home through soft furnishings and fabrics. His cushion designs are created using elements from his original paintings and are available across all of our eight stores.

John is strongly inspired by his personal experiences. His Banksia and Budgie cushion design features his childhood pet budgie ‘Peter’ and is a celebration of Australia’s native flora and fauna.

Aside from his work with OSMEN, John is an established fine artist who regularly exhibits his work Australia-wide. He is a Kennedy Prize finalist and a Doug Moran National Portrait Prize finalist, with paintings held in private collections internationally.
